Bolton falls short at Opelousas

From The Town Talk -

OPELOUSAS --- Bolton lost not one but two quarterbacks in Friday night's 22-14 loss at Opelousas High.  Bolton (0-2) senior starting quarterback Martravious Dorsey was injured on the Bears' first offensive snap. Trevaughn Robin replaced Dorsey but he too left the game with an ankle injury.

Running back JoJo Wardsworth took over QB duties and finished the game completing 5 of 19 passes for 80 yards, one touchdown and one interception.

Wardsworth was also the Bears' leading rusher, running for 61 yards on 14 carries. He also ran back a kickoff 73 yards for a score in the third quarter that cut the lead to 17-14. An eight-yard interception return for a touchdown by Opelousas' Rashun Pitre later in the quarter sealed the victory.

It was Opelousas High's first victory since the 2009 season.
