The "Graduate to Go" program at Louisiana State University, sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of America and the Taco Bell Foundation for Teens, is designed to help teens learn about college life and encourage them to stay in school and get their high school diploma.

Of the 100 teens from six Boys & Girls Clubs in the Gulf South who are participating, four were from Central Louisiana:

  • Destiny Taylor from Bolton High School, who wants to attend Louisiana College and major in nursing.

  • Kelcie Paul from Brame Middle School, who wants to attend either Harvard or Yale and become an attorney.

  • Darien Crochet, who wants to attend Northwestern State University or Louisiana State University and major in orthodontics.

  • Ralisa Smith, who wants to attend the University of Florida and major in music and performing arts.
