Bolton High graduate R. Hunter Pierson Jr. is Rex, king of Carnival, in New Orleans

Alexandria native R. Hunter Pierson Jr. presided over Mardi Gras in New Orleans on Tuesday, Feb. 16, serving as Rex, king of Carnival.


Pierson, 58, of New Orleans is a 1969 graduate of Bolton High School. 


He manages private investments in real estate, timberland and securities, and is a new appointee to the Tulane University board.
